Somes
Somes is the hive planet under the rule of 1025th Imperial Guard legion otherwise known as ‘The Children of Somes’. Due to its close proximity to Obeliscus’ sun Somes has an unusual climate with a band of arid desert surrounding its equator with more tropical climates towards the planets poles. In the beginning two cities where built at either pole (Cronus and Rhea), unable to spread effectively across the planet’s surface due to the extreme climates the two cities began to spread into the planet, when the cities met at the core they became one huge hive complex known as Zeus. Another point of note is a black scar in Somes side, this was caused when armies of Chaos attacked using a large drill platform to try and infiltrate Zeus at its core, their attack was repelled but the damage to the planet was irreversible and now the warps taint seeps slowly but relentlessly from the wound.

Xanthus
Xanthus is the principle source of food for Somes (which has some agricultural land, but not much) and is simply endless expanses of farm and wetlands. Few make their home on the planet other than the workers, though there is a large pleasure complex run by the noble Janus Agaue where the wealthy can come and play. There are three way stations also that act as gathering points for the 1025th legion before they go off to battle, this is often the last point of friendly civilization a soldier will ever see.

Ormuz
With the growth of the 1025th legion it became apparent that some heavy fire power was needed, Ormuz was the last planet in the Obeliscus system so was chosen to be rebuilt at a forge world churning out war machines as needed. The planet alone was not big enough to cover all needs so the planets 4 moons where also turned into war forges, these where followed later by a 5th completely artificial moon for the same purpose. Due to both the planets importance and it vulnerable position work was started to add long range defense both on Ormuz and on the Kalliope Belt.
